French Singer    Yseult stands as a central figure, draped in a custom Dior ensemble, her powerful voice filling the Stade de France with echoes of cultural pride and artistic elegance. Her presence symbolizes the rich tapestry of French artistry that was at the heart of this ceremony.

The large circular structure, with performers intertwined within it, suggests the cyclical nature of time, the enduring Olympic spirit, and the continuous journey of the athletes and the Games themselves.

The performers underneath the illuminated Olympic rings capture the essence of unity and the shared human experience that the Games embody. The rings themselves, hovering above, are a beacon of hope and connection.

The vibrant energy of the Stade de France, filled with spectators from around the world, underscores the global significance of the event. This is a space where history was made, and memories were etched into the collective consciousness of humankind.

The stage, arranged in angular and star-like patterns, symbolizes the shining achievements of the athletes, each a star in their own right. The design suggests a constellation of human excellence, linked across time and space.

The French indie rock band Phoenix, led by frontman Thomas Mars, brought the stadium alive with their rendition of "Lisztomania." The band's performance, surrounded by athletes, highlights the blend of sport and culture that defines the modern Olympics.

Swiss Pianist    Alain Roche’s piano performance was a breathtaking visual metaphor for the heights of artistic and athletic achievement. His piece, “Hymn to Apollo,” connects the ancient roots of the Games with the modern celebration.

H.E.R. (Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson) delivered a stirring performance, her music resonating with themes of resilience, strength, and unity. Her presence bridges the Paris Games with the next chapter in Los Angeles.

The artwork is bathed in a deep, majestic blue, evoking the serene night sky under which the ceremony took place. The cool tones reflect calm and reflection, a contrast to the fiery orange highlights that symbolize the passion and energy of the performances. The use of these colors creates a sense of balance—both the quiet dignity and the vibrant celebration of the closing ceremony are captured.

Creating this piece was a journey through time, space, and emotion. The closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics was not just an end, but a passage—a bridge to the future Games in Los Angeles. Each element in this artwork was chosen to reflect the intricate layers of history, culture, and athleticism that define the Olympics. The soaring performances, the symbolic structures, and the vibrant crowd all speak to a shared human experience that transcends borders. Through this art, I wanted to capture the fleeting beauty of that night, to freeze it in time so that the spirit of the Games may continue to inspire.
