Wings of Valor: A Journey Beyond
"In creating this piece, I sought to blend the real and the abstract, drawing parallels between the soldiers' journey and the spirit of freedom. The eagle soaring in the sky represents the ideals that these soldiers protect—freedom, vision, and resilience. The silhouetted soldiers climbing upwards show the relentless pursuit of their mission, their collective strength guided by something higher.

The composition captures a sense of movement, as if the soldiers are walking toward a brighter horizon, a symbol of hope. The eagle , majestic and free, watches over them, symbolizing protection and the greater cause they fight for.
The blending of nature— water, sky, and the subtle floral patterns —represents the harmony between man and the world they protect. This contrast between the delicate and the strong was intentional, showing that even in moments of conflict, there is beauty to be found.
The U.S. Army has long been a symbol of strength and protection, not only for the nation but also for the ideals of freedom around the world. Throughout its history, the Army has adapted and evolved to meet the challenges of each era. The imagery of the eagle is deeply connected to American history, symbolizing courage and the nation’s determination to rise above adversity.
Eagles have been used as symbols of power and resilience across multiple cultures, and here it reflects the Army’s soaring spirit, always watching over, always ready. The soldiers' upward march is reflective of the Army’s role in securing not just the physical safety of the nation but its values and dreams for the future.
Blue and Purple Hues : Represent serenity, loyalty, and contemplation . These colors evoke a sense of calm amidst the chaos, grounding the soldiers' mission in a sense of peace and clarity. Sunset Oranges and Yellows : Symbolize hope, energy, and new beginnings . The fading sun represents both the end of a battle and the promise of a new day, filled with opportunities and renewed resolve. Floral-like abstract shapes : These elements add a soft contrast, representing the beauty and fragility of peace, which the soldiers work to protect. They remind us of the delicate balance between destruction and creation in the pursuit of freedom.
This image represents more than just soldiers on a mission; it’s about the interconnectedness of everything they fight for—the earth, the sky, and the values that transcend borders. The eagle is central to the piece because it watches over, offering guidance and strength from a place of wisdom. I see the soldiers not just as warriors but as protectors, navigating both the physical and emotional landscapes of their duty.
There’s an emotional undertone in the colors I chose—soft, yet powerful—emphasizing the duality of their role as both defenders and preservers. The floral shapes interwoven into the background suggest that even in war, life continues, and beauty can still emerge from the most challenging circumstances. This work reflects my belief in the strength found in unity, purpose, and the ever-present desire for peace.
Emotionally, this piece touches on the weight of responsibility these soldiers carry, yet it leaves room for hope—hope that through their sacrifice, a brighter and freer future can take flight.
